Replace an optician’s spreadsheet with an offline workspace for prescriptions, payments, stock and invoices.

Opticians and shop staff managing customer prescriptions and the operational work around each order.

The product experience

A record keeps the customer and prescription together. Staff can search and filter records, follow outstanding balances, update order status and review reports. Catalogue, stock and invoice tools extend the same workflow, while Excel and CSV exchange allow existing records to enter and leave the application.

Technology behind the experience

Typed Tauri commands connect the interface to Rust and SQLite. Outstanding balance is derived from price and advance rather than stored independently, avoiding conflicting amounts. Transactional imports, reversible deletion and daily backups support the lifecycle of local records. The separate product website includes a browser demo using a fictional shop and an in-memory adapter for the shared business logic.

The browser demo does not read the shop’s private database. Its in-memory storage and file handling differ from the installed Windows application.
